Interested in Volunteering?

Volunteers play a special role in keeping our service members connected to family, home, and country. Whether it is welcoming visitors to our center, easing their journey with a cup of coffee or providing a free phone call to a loved one, volunteers lead with their hearts and serve with integrity.

Center Representatives: The duties of our center representatives include monitoring the front desk to insure all visitors sign in and have a valid ID card, answering the phone, replenishing the snack bar, brewing a fresh pot of coffee, maintaining the cleanliness of the center, and assisting all visitors. The USO centers and volunteers are the heart and soul for our service members and their families. We provide a safe, comfortable place to rest, relax and communicate with family, friends, and commands before or after a long journey.

Program Volunteers: We also have opportunities for volunteers that are interested in volunteering for our center programs and special events. Throughout the week, we hold programs across the peninsula to support our military community. Such events include Motor Pool Monday, USO Reading Program, Operation Birthday Cake, Dine on a Dime, Taco Tuesday, Yoga, and Korean Language Class. Our special events include our annual Red, White, & Blue Golf Tournament and our Six Star Service Salute. Assistance varies by each program but can include event set-up/tear down, planning and execution.

Administrative Support: Working in our USO Korea Area Office assisting with a variety of tasks that may include record-keeping, answering phones, organization and other projects as needed.

Outreach: USO Korea is there to support the communities and outreach sites around the peninsula. Some of these outreach sites include Warrior Base, Camp Bonifas, K-16 Air Base, Kunsan Air Base, Camp Carroll, and K-2. Our outreach volunteers help distribute care packages, snacks, drinks, and maybe even grill some burgers.
