Popcorn STEM Day: Tasty Science Experiments!

USO Humphreys-Sentry Village will be providing Popcorn Science Kits for families to conduct their very own Popcorn STEM Day - Tasty Science Experiments!  In honor of National Popcorn Day that was celebrated on 19 January, we’ve put together a couple of popcorn-themed, fun science experiments for children ages 5 and up to participate in.  Each kit will contain everything you need (instructions, microwave popcorn, large plastic cup, 2 x small plastic cups, milk, baking soda and vinegar).  This is to show kids that science is not only really cool and fun, but can be tasty too!  We’ll be providing an assortment of delicious popcorn (e.g., Skittles, S'mores and Funnel Cake) along with the Popcorn Science Kits.  THIS IS A REGISTRATION ONLY EVENT FOR THE FIRST 20 FAMILIES TO REGISTER.  Families can pick-up their Popcorn Science Kits on Saturday, January 30th between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM at our USO Humphreys-Sentry Village location. 

Regardless of the size of your family, please be sure to select “1” for "Quantity".  Additionally, in the comments section you’ll need to provide the total number of people in your family and the ages of all the children participating.  Please do NOT try and signup other people outside of your family or group.  Click below to signup for an available slot.
