Osan AFB lies about an hour south of Seoul. In Summer 2016, our center expanded from a 560 square foot facility to a 2125 square foot facility, transforming the USO Osan into the largest center in Korea.
One of the most difficult challenges for military children is being separated from a parent for a lengthy period of time. It can leave them feeling sad and isolated. The United Through Reading program helps comfort military kids during the separation by connecting them with their loved ones through books. We record the service members reading a book aloud and mail both book and DVSD to their family back home for free. As of 2015, more than 14,000 DVDs have been mailed home and impacted the lives of military children.
If you would like to get involved, please contact us at DSN 784-0469 or simply drop by the center and we will get you started.
